Instructions

Some people think the Bible is an instruction manual. There are commandments and rules given as well, but what if you literally can’t follow all the written instructions?

Bonus Questions
Is everything the (human) author wanted to say written in the Bible? (2 John 1:12, 3 John 1:13-14)
Who were the letters in the Bible written to? (You’ve got mail.)

Main Thought
The Bible is much more than just a basic instruction manual. The New Testament focuses on Jesus and after his death, resurrection and ascension his followers taking his teachings and writing letters with instructions on how best to live life as a Christian. 2,000 years later, customs and cultures have changed, people the letters in the Bible were written to have passed away, but Jesus’ words will remain forever (Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33).
